What is floating?

Floating, also known as float therapy or sensory deprivation, is a deeply relaxing and restorative experience that allows your mind and body to fully unwind. It involves lying effortlessly in a specialized float tank filled with warm water and a high concentration of Epsom salt. This creates natural buoyancy, making you feel weightless while eliminating external distractions such as light, sound, and gravity.

Floating is a natural, science-backed method to promote deep relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. Whether you’re looking to relieve stress, improve focus, or recover from workouts, float therapy offers a unique and effective solution.

What are some tips for having a great float experience?
- Avoid caffeine 2-3 hours before floating to enhance relaxation. - Eat a light meal an hour before to avoid hunger distractions. - Arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in and ask any questions. - Let go of expectations—just relax, breathe, and enjoy the experience. - If it’s your first time, consider floating at least 2-3 times within a month to fully experience the benefits.
What do I listen to during the float?
You can choose to float in complete silence or listen to: - Gentle meditation music - Guided relaxation tracks - Nature sounds (ocean waves, rain, etc.) Many first-time floaters start with soft music and transition to silence as they become more comfortable.
How will I know when the float is over?
Your float will end with a gentle audio cue or soft lighting. There’s no abrupt alarm—just a calm transition back to reality. After your float, you can take a shower and relax in our post-float area with a complimentary tea.
Do I need to close the lid?
No, you do not have to close the lid if you’re uncomfortable. Our float pods are spacious and can be left partially or fully open. Many people with claustrophobia find floating surprisingly comfortable, as you have complete control over your environment.
How is the water kept clean and safe?
We prioritize hygiene with a state-of-the-art filtration system that includes UV light purification, ozone treatment, and high-quality saltwater circulation between each session. Our tanks are designed to ensure crystal-clear, bacteria-free water.
Can I float if I have claustrophobia?
Yes! Many people with claustrophobia find float therapy surprisingly comfortable. Our float rooms and pods are spacious, and you can choose to keep the lid open, adjust the lighting, or exit at any time.
Can I float while pregnant?
Yes! Float therapy is highly beneficial for expecting mothers, as it helps relieve back pain, reduces swelling, and promotes relaxation. However, we recommend consulting your doctor before booking a session.
How often should I float for the best results?
For stress relief and relaxation, floating once or twice a month can be beneficial. If using float therapy for muscle recovery or chronic pain, weekly sessions may be ideal. Many new clients float two to three times within their first month to maximize benefits.
Do I need to bring anything to my float session?
We provide everything you need, including: ✔ Towels ✔ Earplugs ✔ Shampoo & body wash ✔ Slippers & Robes ✔ A private showerOptional items to bring: - A hairbrush or styling products - Contact lens case (if you wear contacts and prefer to remove them) - There is no need to bring a swimsuit as floating is done in complete privacy. Before Your Float

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early – This gives you time to check in, ask questions, and prepare for your session.
  • Avoid caffeine & heavy meals – Try to avoid caffeine for at least 2-3 hours before floating to help your body fully relax. Eat a light meal an hour before to prevent hunger distractions.
  • Shower before entering the float tank – This removes any oils, lotions, or perfumes and helps maintain the cleanliness of the water.
  • Insert earplugs (optional) – Earplugs help keep water out and enhance relaxation.

During Your Float

  • Enter the tank and lie back – The high salt concentration allows you to float effortlessly with no effort required.
  • Customize your experience – You can choose to float with soft lighting and gentle music or go for complete silence and darkness for full sensory deprivation.
  • Breathe deeply and relax – Your body will naturally adjust to the weightless environment. Many people enter a deep meditative state within minutes.
  • No need to worry about time – Your session will be automatically timed, and a gentle sound or light cue will signal when your float is over.

After Your Float

  • Exit the tank slowly – Stand up carefully and take a moment to adjust.
  • Shower again – Rinse off the saltwater and refresh yourself before heading out.
  • Rehydrate and relax – Drink plenty of water to support detoxification and enjoy the post-float calm with a cup of complimentary tea.
